Actor AJ Dee hopes to end malicious insinuations about the sexuality of his younger brother, Enchong Dee.
AJ said he is hurting for his brother, deeming the latter too meek, if too kind, to be the target of such allegations. As such, he went on to offer proof of Enchong’s kindness.
He admitted to having taken the cudgels for his brother once but only to receive a bashing from critics. “Pinagtulungan kami, may umano sa amin, eh, may mga nangtira,” said he via the same PEP interview.
AJ didn’t give out the names but hinted at a male talk show host from TV5 as among those who made the unsavory comment about them. And, no, he is not planning to get back at him.
“Hindi na. E, kasi siyempre, makakatulong pa sa kanila ‘yun [in terms of publicity], so hinayaan ko na lang.”
Another reason for his decision to eventually let go of the matter is his younger brother himself, whom, he said, has seemingly learned to shrug off issues such as this.
Still, AJ hopes critics would finally put a lid on the matter.
AJ started his career as a fashion model. He went on to appear in a number of ABS -CBN shows, including “Vietnam Rose,” “Rounin,” “Eva Fonda” and ” Maynila.”
After his contract with ABS-CBN expired in 2009, AJ jumped to rival network GMA-7, subsequently appearing on “Ikaw Sana,” and “Show Me Da Manny.”
He is now featured in the series “Amaya” playing the role of a warrior.
